Politics

I look for the word politics

Up in the dictionary

To find its meaning

As the word like music ring

All time in the ears

Does it bring cheers?

Does it bring tears?

Does it help one to lose the fears?

It is my query

It is your query

May be for more than a century?

Politics

All about tricks

To maintain the chair

Foul or fair

One may care?

Or care not

Battles are fought

To opposition, a lesson taught

All for power

Enjoy every time shower

Muse inside the ivory tower

Feel an urge to teach

The commoners with a long drawn speech

There on the open field

And even yield

To bribe them with a handful of grains

Sharp brains!

I better understand the politicians

Wonderful musicians

Perform their best

In the elections

Forget the rest

Enjoy the harvest

And enjoy every ride

With the pilot car at the side

Enjoy the long drawn procession

The public faces the traffic jam

Politics is only a definition

Is it a science or an art of governance?

Of humans and their intelligent brains.
