Dr. Anjan Kumar

Dr. Anjan Kumar has post graduated in English from Ranchi University, Ranchi in the year 1986. He wrote his doctoral thesis on The Dramatic Craftsmanship of W. B. Yeats. He is teaching post- graduate classes for twenty-five years and so far has guided twelve Ph.D. students. At present two students are working on their Ph.D. projects under his guidance. He has authored three books – An Approach to Modern Critical Theories in English, The Novels of Amitav Ghosh Major Themes and Understanding the Constitution of India. He has published a number of research papers in national and international journals. Till the date, there are twenty Five Research Papers published by him in various National and International Journals with ISSN number. He is working as university-approved Principal of a Graduate and Post-graduate College in Mumbai under the University of Mumbai for the last seven years. Dr. Kumar qualified the prestigious IAS examination in the year 1991 and was allotted Indian Information Service Group A, but preferred to work in the field of education teaching. He lives in Mumbai at present.
