ISSUE XXIX

*****

JUNE 2017

It’s always exciting to see that written art is seeing a new dawn in this age of digital time pass instrument. Literature has forged its ways and getting into the life of enthusiastic people with even greater force than any other time. We have many digital platforms today; we can write for online magazines today; we can publish e-books today; we can download great classics on our phones today; we can listen to the books today; we can watch plays on YouTube today… in short, it’s great to see the marriage between IT and literature and this is going to re-energise literature for the public.

In this issue, there are many poets who are first-timers as well as the poets who are well-known and established. It really delights me to be amidst such a situation where we can see the poetry on a meeting point – the experience meets the aspiration! Other than that, I am also happy to realise that Ashvamegh is playing its role quite well, the role of being the platform and the voice for those who want to reach a wider audience with their creations.

I truly hope that this summer issue will serve its purpose and the readers will like our efforts. I had also the chance to discuss various literary issues with some authors and those interviews will be presented in this issue as well. You can read the same from the section below. And keeping things short, I will let you enjoy this issue now! Happy reading!

With love,

Alok Mishra
