Reading Book is a habit which keeps a person’s brain engaged and he gains a lot of knowledge on a specific area. Being an MBA student, I have also read a business book which increased my knowledge regarding business and inspired me to think beyond the box. The book I am talking about is a book which is written by Britain’s fourth richest and world’s one of the great business man Mr. Richard Branson. Yes, I am talking about Like a Virgin: Secrets They Won’t Teach You at Business School. In this book Mr. Branson has talked about his experience, knowledge and insights about business and leadership, how a man has successfully built a business empire and how we can learn a lot about how to start our own business.
Mr. Branson, the founder of The Virgin Group, in this book has talked about few qualities and personality traits which every new entrepreneur should develop in person. The author has said that if we want to make an exceptional company then we have to be a good listener. We must have to focus on every little thing of our lives and do them with proper care. By listening to others, we can learn a lot and this would ultimately benefit our business. We have to be different from others. Here he has given the example of Steve Jobs for his commitment to think differently. He has also talked about Management & Communication, Services and Innovation. He firmly believes that Businesses can make the world happy. He has suggested that every company should put their employees under first priority. It is because if the employees are happy then only they will be motivated enough to keep the existing customers happy. Thus, a motivated employee brings a lot of profit to the organization. In his book the author has shared about his different businesses like airline, music, finance etc. He has also suggested about how funds can be raised and many more other relevant business tips. Therefore, this is a must-read book for all the budding entrepreneurs.
