Do you remember some stories that you might have read in your childhood? Those short and pleasant stories of fairies and prince and demons and princess? Well, in modern times, when the world is fast and time is less, reading the bulk of books becomes a problem at times. You have to take leaves just to complete the novels (rare occurrences). I have come across a book by Laveena – Maid in India. And believe me, this book was something that gave me a push, a push to look inside. The book, barely going up to 25 pages and a straight forward plot with an ordinary story but a great message – a message that what we can do if we think constructively about the social causes and our responsibilities.

The story of a very simple book tells you the simple things that you can do to make the world better. A housewife who finds that her interests are in writing and takes the help of her maid’s daughter in managing the households can also do something brilliant. This is the story of women’s willpower and women’s zeal to make her own path to success as well help others succeed.

I will let you find the rest of the story yourself. You will need not more than an hour of your busy schedule to finish the book in one go. The book is also decorated with some of the author’s original poems. And to tell you, Laveen has composed some beautiful Hindi poems for the book – inspiring and touching.

To know better, go for the book; read the story of an inspiring young maid and a helpful housewife. What takes an uneducated girl to make it to start her own beauty shop and what it takes a housewife to forge her way to stardom… both will be answered by the author in this very interesting and ‘less-time-consuming’ book. You can get the book on e-platforms – Google Play Books and Amazon Kindle.
